Lent Day 19 Reflection

Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him. He will bring forth justice to the nations. He will not cry out or raise His voice, nor make His voice heard in the street… He will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not be disheartened or crushed until He has established justice in the earth.
– Isaiah 42:1-4 –
Evil seems endless,
Hope seems hopeless.
We wander and stray,
We forget to pray.
We do not do what is morally right;
We do what’s best in our own sight.
Nothing can appease us
But here comes King Jesus.

He will bring forth justice to the nations,
He will restore what’s broken for all creation.
As heaven’s chosen champion He enters the ring,
Empowered with the Spirit to face the deviling.
A bout between two heavyweight titans,
Lawd have mercy, Heaven and Hell be fightin’.
He floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee
To which none can contend, not even Ali.

He’s the Evil-defeater,
Sin deleter,
Law completer,
Salvation leader,
Sentence of death repealer,
Unmatched, creation healer.
He’s the Alpha and Omega, the one, the sola;
The world is in His hands from Zimbabwe to Angola.

In bringing forth justice, He faithfully frees us–
You will not crush or dishearten our Jesus.
No negative ads,
No hanging chads;
A clean campaign
In Jesus name,
Mission clear:
Heaven come near.

Beginning with the sick and the forsaken–
You can’t imagine the kingdom he’s makin’–
His justice comes through righteous healing
For all the Christ-centered faith-revealing
Children of the one true God, patiently waiting.
With darkness present now, it’s worth stating,
The Judge will return to redeem humankind,
Question remains, what faith will He find?

I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly.
However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?
– Luke 18:8 –
