Compassion Mobile Experience

Harris Creek has been honored to have a relationship with Compassion International for the last four years. We have celebrated Compassion Sunday’s and welcomed Wes Stafford, former president and founder, as our guest. Our Kids, Youth, and College Ministries sponsor compassion children along with many individuals and families at Harris Creek. This year we are excited that Compassion is sending their mobile experience to Waco. It will be set up in the parking lot of FBC Waco. The Compassion Mobile Experience is a free community-wide event that will expose guests to stories of real people who have lived in developing countries. Each guest will use an iPod and headphones and take a 20-minute multi-media tour—walking through homes, streets, markets and schools. You’ll experience sights, sounds, and events from the lives of actual Compassion children, narrated from their own perspective. This experience will give you an inside look into the details of their lives and their story of hope. We would love for individuals, families, and life groups to actively engage in this experience by being a participant or a volunteer. We believe this is a great opportunity to seek the welfare of others and we are still in need of people to help serve. We are especially in need of people who can help set up on Thursday, October 9th and tear down on Tuesday, October 14th. To sign up to volunteer for this event, please click here.
